That's what I'm talkin' about....

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -Alex Rodriguez hit three home runs against the Kansas City Royals on Saturday night.  A-Rod, who became the youngest player to reach 600 homers on Aug. 4, slammed a 412-foot homer off Sean O'Sullivan in the 6th inning, a 419-foot shot off Kanekoa Texeira in the 7th, and added a 439-foot drive in the 9th against Greg Holland that landed in the left-field fountains. It was his 4th career 3-homer game, the first since April 26, 2005, against the Angels.

“It’s a night I’ll never forget,” said Rodriguez, whose barrage helped the Yankees maintain a two-game lead in the American League East over the Tampa Bay Rays. “You just don’t do things like that very often in a career. For me, it was nice to carry the team for one night. These guys have been carrying me all year.”

Nice of him to notice.
